Even though I really need to do something with my [community profile] tic_tac_woe card before starting a new bingo, [community profile] hc_bingo is like crack to me and I can never refuse it when it calls. Maybe this will be the year when I manage to finally chase down the elusive 25 in 1 achievement. The prompts are very nice. I'm thinking maybe something about the Twelfth Doctor's extended stay on Earth?

Speaking of Twelve... I was wondering if there would be any interest in having an exchange or fic fest at the end of this series?

A marvellous bingo card from[community profile] tic_tac_woe under the cut. I hope I can do it justice.

Bingo

clocketpatch: A small, innocent-looking red alarm clock, stuck forever at 10 to 7. (CLOCKETPATCH!)
A vertical art bingo has been achieved for my h/c bingo card! Fair warning, there are some large images under those cuts. I think they all fit the prompts well, though Isolation is a bit surreal and abstract, and Homesickness probably only makes sense to me. I was thinking of a time when I was homesick while painting it, and a time in my life that I miss sometimes in a way that feels more like homesickness than nostalgia.

Having never managed to actually finish a bingo on h/c bingo, I vowed that this time I would. Unfortunately, I've also been having some terrible writer's block. Wanting to do something while waiting for it to pass, I started messing around with some crayons and before I knew it an entire blackout bingo had formed.

Characters: Sad Bird, Happy Bird, Stoic Penguin, Angry Ground Squirrel
Warnings: Graphic violence, self harm, attempted suicide, minor character death, general unpleasantness, terrible crayon drawings

There is quite a bit of plot for this in my head, and I had thought about adding a bit of narration to each picture to confirm what was going on, but 1. writer's block, and 2. it's probably more interesting to let the birds speak for themselves and let all of you come up with your own interpretations of what's going on.

Done for wildcard/loss of identity. It's the same picture as before in a different medium.

Still behind on Unconventional Courtships, so obviously the intelligent thing to do is start posting chapters of an unrelated WIP... I don't think it will end up having more than two or three chapters though, and on added bonus (wonder of all wonders) I have a day off zomg. So things may actually be written.

Or perhaps not, because I've also discovered* Coursera, which is both wonderful and awful (because I so do not have spare time for this).

*by discovered I mean: I'm supposed to do one of the courses on there for Professional Development, and then I started clicking things and finding lots of interesting, science-y things that I want to learn about.

Title: In the Perpetual Spring
Word Count: 861
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Sixth Doctor, Peri Brown
Summary:

Peri had always been of the opinion that the size of a bed didn't matter so much as the technical ability of its users. The Doctor did have experience and talent, but his grandiose flourishes weren't suited to small spaces. Moreover, he had some very strange ideas about vegetables (that hadn't changed with regeneration, apparently). Peri really wished he'd go till his wild oats elsewhere.

This means that there will be a bingo IF I can manage to miraculously finish my Unconventional Courtships fic by tomorrow. Cross your fingers for me.

I decided to go super literal for the mind games prompt and created this: http://games.usvsth3m.com/2048/blakes7-edition/

Spoilers abound. Also, I think that using .gifs has made it significantly harder than the original. Because I'm evil.

[livejournal.com profile] lost_spook has created the wonderful prompts communitity [livejournal.com profile] dw_allsorts, and in a fit of madness I've grabbed one of the mid-sized tables with the claim to write nine Doctor/TARDIS theme fics.

#01 – A red light or a star #02 – It will be a long trip #03 – The heart in reverse
#04 – A ribband of red #05 – The world has many seas #06 – A silver city
#07 – According to rumour #08 – Day of mist #09 – Fun, Foam and Freedom

Unexpected fic happened during [livejournal.com profile] fic_rush! This was one of those ideas that jumps out of nowhere and then sternly savages you until you write it all down. It's fulfilling the reunion square on my trope bingo card so that's... one down and only twenty four more to go! Next on the list is actually getting some words down on my Blakefest fic.
