In my head this is post-Doctor for Ian and he's working at a posher school. It's not my personal canon by any stretch, but it's a fun little brain exercise, and I figured Ian had to have picked up his random sword fighting skills *somewhere*

My wrist is feeling much better actually. All it needed was a rest and a chamomile compress (that stuff is miraculous, really)
