When I worked in the bookstore, no one ever bought me a book again. Can you buy Amazon gift cards at Walmart? They sell gift cards for just about every store out there.

Life on Mars plays on BBC Canada, if you get the channel on satellite or cable you should be able to catch a couple of episodes to make certain you like it (you'll love it, actually).
