If you can manage it, her being freaked out in a car and mad at you after is worth it for her not going through this. I can't imagine how uncomfortable Pebbles was with all of that inside her. You might want to call up a vet to ask what the risk/benefits would be since Olga's older. The vet said that it's not overly common in cats and that Pebbles was strange since she wasn't acting sick given how infected she was. The usual symptoms are lethargy, thirst, and licking at themselves, so if you ever notice Olga doing any of that get her to the vet stat.
