I'm not dead!

Though I'm also not really around. I've ended up with a promotion at work, which means I'm in charge of other human beings (terrifying), and I am also in the process of merging households with another human being and their parrot (and also attempting to learn the first language of both the human being and the parrot, because while both speak English, they both understand better in French). This doesn't account for my continued absence from fandom in general and dreamwidth in particular, but I figured I'd give an update to anyone who was concerned.

I'm still drawing and writing things and occasionally participating in fests, but I'm also dealing with making schedules and keeping a parrot and a cat from causing each other injury. Life is full of twists and turns and weird bits, and I think I'm in one of those weird cul-de-sacs at the moment. I should emerge eventually.

I spotted you even anon in... Chocolate Box, was it? But it's nice to hear from you. I think about you often! The cat and the parrot situation sounds interesting, to say the least. Good luck with it, and with everything else. (Human beings are also difficult things to wrangle.)

Hello! Still life sounds good if with a side order of tricky.

Good luck with the French. (Just listening to Coffee Break French doesn't work, curses!)

A parrot! This is very exciting. For some reason I rather like the idea of a parrot that speaks French.

Good to hear from you. Life sounds interesting, which is frequently quite tiring, but at least not dull. Look after yourself, and good luck with the twisty-turny bits.

Hi! *glomphs you*

I'm glad you are doing well even if the "in charge of people" part is terrifying. I have an intern coming in under a month and I'm kind of panicking...

Bon Suerte with the French! Obvs I don't know French so am substituting Spanish. :D

I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post this, but I think it's the most recent post of yours I can find. I don't know if you're still active on Dreamwidth, but I just thought that in the present somewhat crazy, scary moment I would check in on you and ask how you were doing. It has been too long since last we interacted, and I was just wondering how things are going for you? I am doing okay, considering, but I would be very glad to hear from you.

Indeed it is. I'm glad to hear from you and that you're doing as well as can be in the circumstances. Yes, some places have been slower than others in terms of moving over to the new state of affairs. I've been working from home for about a week, because my job allows that, but I know a lot a people are not so fortunate. I hope things continue as positively for you as possible, and I'll try not to leave it so long before checking in next time. :)
