Obvious things are obvious
It strikes me that today is a very interesting date: the 9th of the 9th month of the 9th year of the new millennium. Now, give that calender time is an abstract concept, made up to give us a sense of past and future and a means to plan and order both, given that calender time is an invention, all these random 9s shoved together don't actually mean anything.
Still, it's the last time we'll get a single digit line-up date like this within our lifetimes. So that's something cool. Also (and I'm taking the internet's word on this, because I'm not doing the math), tomorrow is the 252nd day of the year, and 2+5+2 adds up to...
Not saying anything will happen, except me getting up and going to work as per usual, but aren't numbers fun?
