Resting Place

Whatever that Seven, Ace, and Hex epic is... I haven't thought of a decent title yet. Or, incidentally, a conclusion.

Total: 11

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?

That's more than I thought I'd wrote, but I'd been hoping to do more this year; just kept getting distracted...

Where did you publish/archive your stories?

Mostly the Teaspoons, occasionally my journal

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2009?

Hrm, hrm, hrm... get back to me on that

What’s your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.

Walk through the Dust. Doesn't make me happy exactly. But I was trying out a new way of writing and I think it turned out well. It also got recc'd on Calufrax, which pretty much made my day when it happened.

Okay, NOW your most popular story.

Going by reviews that would be Forever Tomorrow. And I do promise to finish it. Really. I'm serious!

Story most underappreciated by the universe?

None are underappreciate; the universe basks int he glow of my fic! I am the Fic-Writer Victorious! (er... which may or may not be a good thing)

Story that could have been better?

lux lucis... I'm still ticked at myself for using the eye-sore Academy names... even if I do quite like the finished product.

Sexiest story?

Even when I try for sexy it dies in angst. See the blink-and-you'll miss it scene in Walk through the Dust for details.

Most fun story?

Writing is fun! I think Blending in and Stuff of Legends get he vote though, simply for being the only two that aren't up to their eyeballs in angst.

Story with single sweetest moment?

Probably, definitely, each and every single time Hex tries to flirt with Ace. But none of you have read that yet. Well, one of you has. Of those in open circulation, er... Blending in, in its entirety.

The story that made you cry?

I cry at other people's fic, not my own. Well, I did have a moment when writing Walk through the Dust. And the Seven fic...

Hardest story to write?

Forever Tomorrow. I have an awful tendency to procrastinate the second something gets a following.

From a technical stand point, that Seven story is hard, because it involves /research/

Easiest story to write?

Water Runs Quickly. I'll probably be cursing myself for saying this when it turns into another abandoned WIP, but I wrote about 4000 words for it in under an hour.

Most overdue story?

The ending for Forever Tomorrow. (really, so SO sorry)

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?

Earlier in the year I was experimenting a lot with style, intertextuality, and characters I hadn't tried before. I think I did expand my range a bit.

Do you have any fanfic goals for the New Year?

Finish the WIPs of doom?

More specific goals:

that's about it really.

...

yeah, sorry I wasn't very creative with my answers. I'm a bit in two places at once at the moment.

Oh, no a fic meme! (I just know I'll succumb... And how many fics I wrote in 2009 may be slightly scary.)

Firstly, yes, you must finish Forever Tomorrow. I've caught up now, so I'm impatient for the ending - and it does feel as if you were nearly there (ish).

And yes also other people should have the privilege of reading your truly awesome Seven, Ace and Hex fic. I am just very lucky to be the one who has read it so far. And the Hex/Ace bits are quite sweet, because it's so hopeless. I have to admit proper Hex/Ace would weird me out a bit, but you write them both (and Seven, too) so brilliant. The world needs to see it! I need to know what happens! (It made you cry? Ohhh, come on, I want a happy ending! ;-D)

But, you know, rl, and deadlines do come first. ;-)

Oh, I'm sorry - I seem to remember you saying something about it before, too. Aw.

Well, that would be something to look forward too. I love the character your writing has - it's something out of the ordinary. Not wanting to swell your head or something.

*passes a pin, just in case*

Eek. I've got sudden visions of that Red Dwarf where Lister's got the sace mumps - yellow goo everywhere, urgh!!!

I'm sorry. Just, you know, leave the swelling to go down normally the next time.
