clocketpatch: A small, innocent-looking red alarm clock, stuck forever at 10 to 7. (The Brig)

Just once, I'd like to meet an alien menace that wasn't immune to bullets.

In a famously divided fandom, his was the character everyone loved. Peace to his friends and family.

RIP Nicholas Courtney, thank you for bringing smiles to so many. For being a legend.

It's so true. Whether you were old or new school, disliked everyone but Tom Baker (or liked everyone who wasn't), thought Ainley was rubbish or preferred him to Delgado, etc etc etc, the one thing everyone agrees on is how much the Brig rocks. Considering how often his job was to play the character whose in-the-box thinking wasn't up to the task, that's quite an achievement, and while the writing of the character is clearly partly responsible, I think even those writers would put the plupart of the credit on him. And from friends who met him, I gather he was a perfect gentleman and quite a lot of fun, to boot.
