No, I rather don't mind at all. Indeed, t'would be a privilege. As far as lj goes I'm a bit lackadaisical about posting updates, checking my friends page, or generally doing anything that requires effort.
As far as etiquette rules go, the only big one I've stumbled across thus far is that people usually request that you put long posts under a cut so that their friends page isn't stretched into eternity.
