Wow. I agree with Stella here, 'sobering' is a proper and fitting summing up of the mood this imbues. I haven't had the chance to add the audio world to my visual world yet, so I only know hints and bits and snatches of what you are referring to, but that doesn't lessen the impact as much as a person might expect. Poetic and strong and sorrowful.
