yes... I've got about three different false starts for that story on my hard drive, and I really REALLY want it to get finished (or at least past chapter 2) at some point, but, well...
My problem with historicals is that I want every detail to be accurate, but that isn't really possible, and when going with the DW historicals as references, it isn't really faithful to the inspirational material either.
The other problem with that one is my lack of Hex knowledge, but I've promised myself that if that one gets voted in I'll buy an audio with him in it to listen to while typing.
Finally, just the subject matter, there's one character in that story who's based on a real life person I know, and, well, he passed away recently, and (though I'm sure he'd just be amused as hell by the idea of being fic-i-fied) I keep sort of flinching back from writing those bits. I don't want to write him out, but I want it to be respectful, except he wasn't respectful of anything, at all, so... it's an interesting balance to strike. Whether it gets voted in or not I'm going to try to finish it this summr.
