I think you're probably safe from committing the worst excesses. It's bad Seven/Ace that really gets my back up - I imagine that same degree of fluffiness and inappropriately doing the Underpants Charleston and extend it to poorly done threesomes as well and oh dear it hurts. It sounds like you have an actual plot and I don't think your tastes extend to fluff or masturbation-at-the-expense-of-character-integrity, though, and that's a good start.
