Win, and so very, very true. I do love the pair of them in all their dysfunction and complex bat-shittery, but there's no need to take it to the next level when they've already gone so far beyond that; also, I usually look at theirs as a messed-up father-daughter type relationship rather than a romantic one.
the utter lack of bad Ace/Hex fic is one of the reasons I wanted to write them. I figured: either this will be AWESOME, ~or~ I'll get the medal for being the first person to $#%#-up the pairing. Either way, it'll be something remarkable. (kind of hoping not to win the medal though, 'cause that would suck)
