Yeah, that bit just had me pulling faces. I really don't think it's intentional, but I do think that if they'd had any women around to read the scripts over, this would've been picked up on and stomped out. Ditto, I'm fairly certain that a more diverse cast of editors might have picked up on the awful janitor subtext in last week's episode and made it understood how that could be otherwise received.
Good writers, but lack of editing leads to face palming.
(they need someone with a basic understanding of science to edit things too, apparently)
Oh well. Very much looking forward to next week. The mummy is apparently the reason Who is airing in a later time slot this year so I'm curious to see how scary it turns out.
