Alas, it's come out since that there were a few fatalities during the evacuation.
But in more hopeful news, the stranded northern evacuees are being flown out.
The whole thing is just unreal. It's the second major disaster since I've moved to this province, and even though I haven't been directly effected by either, it's still... unreal. and terribly, terribly sad.
