The fic you mention about whether it's okay to have a 7 yr old companion sounds to me like dbskyler's Break of Day. :-) (Are you two not 'friends' yet? ;-D)
I haven't read much Eleven fic yet, so I'll have to check out some of these.
P.S. Time Out is part of Johne's UNIT Dating series, so a credit in that direction would be nice - it was not, after all, JJ's idea to have random UNIT. (Also the fic is very funny, but not as clever as Business As Usual and everyone seems to ignore that, cos it's long. And Classic, not New. And not by JJ, I suppose. ;-D)

I also like Doctor Who and the Eye of Doom by Amelia Pond (Age 8 3/4) by nostalgia, and my very favourite - in fact, I don't need to read any other Eleven fic at all, as long as I have this one - is Prime by Roach Patrol.
