It's not so much that she thinks vets are a waste; she does bring old man cat in for his check-ups. But she's got this deep-rooted belief that animals mostly will make themselves better and it's best not to mess with them. She's really attached to the other little girl kitty (she's more my mom's cat than mine and always has been) and after seeing those pictures she's making plans to get her fixed at the first opportunity to prevent this from happening to her.
