... I'm hoping this means that this means John Hurt's Doctor will be shunned by his later incarnations because he was the one to start the Time War, not the one to finish it.. I hope this because I honestly think it would be the more interesting angle. and not at all because it would make some of my speculation fic true!canon

I'm also very intrigued by the theory proposed by jjpor that Rose is... not actually Rose, but rather Romana, who happens to look a fair bit like Rose (and maybe why the Doctor let a human shop girl get so close to him after the war). Another possibility I think I like is the idea that the TARDIS is taking on Rose's skin as a spirit guide, as she took on the Brigadier in Zagreus.

And finally... I'm very curious to find out when and where this will all be set. I feel like it will be at least partially set inside the Doctor's timeline. I feel like Ten is going to be pulled out an adventure involving Queen Elizabeth and Zygons, and that his being involuntarily pulled out of the situation will be the cause of future disharmony in that relationship.



Random side-note:

The name Hurt!Doctor for John Hurt's character makes me think of the tags for some kind of wooby h/c fic, and while I don't mind those fics... I really hope that John Hurt's character will have a better fandom accepted name once the Day of the Doctor has shown.

Or I suppose the other option is that it's "Bad Wolf Rose" somehow going back in time during that moment at the end of Parting of the Ways and making sure history goes the way it's meant to (it's almost like she's encouraging Hurt!Doctor to press that big red button or whatever it is and end everything...which is an interesting development if true). But I was never a fan of the "Bad Wolf" thing, tbh.
