Post a single sentence from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations.

 

Why? Because I’m bored, and also because my ego jumps at any chance to show off random bits of fic. This meme is made difficult by the fact that I write in choppy little sentence fragments for the most part. Also, I have far, far too many WIPs…

 

 

Donna assumed that was his name and leaned close to see, but the paper was snatched away and rolled up before she could even try to decipher the hieroglyph-like writing.

 

His long legs and gangly stride made Iska think of a stork, and Iska wondered if, like the bird, this Doctor was graceful in flight to make up for his awkwardness on land.

 

He turned his gaze downwards, finally noticing the host of little pink lagomorphs watching the TARDIS.

 

There is a muffled kind of silence, an impossible-to-ignore roar, which halts most conversation.

 

Deadlock seal, genetic markers. It wouldn’t have responded to sonic technology, but sometimes a poke in the right direction will loosen things up a bit.

 

The Doctor knew to tread gently: Ace was strong, but so easily wounded, and there were other forces at work here; things that he didn’t quite understand yet.

 

Tegan danced the Charleston, Adric terrorized the entrées lined up at the buffet, and Nyssa had an identity crisis.

 

He fiddles with the console and tries to shrug the narrowly escaped consequences off with a flick of the wrist, but Jamie sees the darkness hidden in his friend’s expression.

 

The Doctor held a book open in his lap, but he wasn’t reading it – the pages hadn’t been turned past the titles.

 

It’s alright if you happen to be one of his chosen ones, but if someone other than him invites you on board you aren’t going to be staying.

Okay, I'm going to ask a stupid sounding question: What is WIP stand for?

I know it has something to do with lines from stories, but more than that I'm left scratching my head.

EDIT: Oh, wait, I just read the person above me post. It stands for Works in Progress, doesn't it? So this meme is about posting lines or first lines from them, right? Or something else?
