Ah, well, in first year uni my watch broke. Alas. And I was a poor, stingy student who didn't want to make the hour-long trek to Walmart to buy a new one.
So I slipped my pink Mini-Mouse alarm clock into my pocket and well...
But those pockets were -HUGE- I'd have the clock in there, along with my wallet, some pens, random bits of paper, and whatever food I'd managed to nick off the cafeteria that day (purloined produce whoo!) But that's off-topic.
What you need to know is that I'm a bit of an insomniac, I've got a tendency for malapropisms, and caffeine makes me crrraaazzzyy:
So, stranger asks me for the time. Stranger sees me pull a giant pink alarm clock out of my pocket and goes WTF?! I go off on a sleep-deprived, caffeine-induced induced stutter trip:
It's my pocket in my clocket alarm! Pocketpotch! Patch! Clocketpatch!!
Something like that...
I think the stranger thought I was drunk. I wasn't really...
