Help Haiti

I have just joined the fandom auction help_haiti to help that country in the wake of this week's devastating earthquake. I've never done one these before, but they need a lot of help down there at the moment. I don't have much cash to spare after books and plane tickets, but I do have fic a-plenty.

My offer is on this page near the bottom.

It's a good cause, so, if you have no money go make your own offer, and if you do have money go bid on someone else. There's shiny art, and graphics, and other people's fic, and some really random stuff in the misc section.

The winning bids are forwarded to on to the appropriate charities.

This is one of the reasons I love the internet. It gives everyone a chance to get together and help, and from what I'm seeing this auction is going to raise several thousand dollars. A drop in the bucks, but SOMETHING.

I'm sadden I can't win a fic by you, but I'm very happy that it's gotten up to $30. If I had enough money, I'd push it higher but I can't. :(

I was thinking of offering to write a fic, but with all my other fics in the progress and the heavy amount of RL to deal with at the moment, I just don't have the time for writing another piece.

That's alright; I'm seriously lacking in the funds department also and understand completely. I just did a budget thing for the next year and a half and... well, these are things I'd prefer not to think about.

Hopefully RL improves for you shortly and gets far less hectic. *hugs*
